SG TEACHER CHOSEN FOR CREATING KEEPSAKES
HALL OF FAME 2007
March 12, 2007

Scrapbook Generation is proud to announce that Allison Davis, teacher and Design Team member, has received what most consider the highest honor in scrapbooking. She is one of the 25 inductees into the "Creating Keepsakes" Hall of Fame for 2007.

Her scrapbook pages will be featured in "Creating Keepsakes" magazine and also the Hall of Fame special issue later this year. In addition, the magazine has already purchased an additional layout shown currently on its website as part of the monthly challenge series.

In July, Allison will be attending the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) summer show in Chicago, where "Creating Keepsakes" will host a dinner and other activities for the Hall of Fame winners.

Allison submitted her 10-layout entry in February, and in March she received a telephone call from founder Lisa Bearnson to let her know she was one of the winners. To read Allison's version of that day, go to creatingkeepsakes.com, click on contests, then go to Hall of Fame and click on her name. Once there, you can listen to the two-minute audio of her conversation with Lisa Bearnson. You can tell she was excited!

The daughter and niece of owners Debbie Sanders and Karin Vacha, Allison has been part of the Scrapbook Generation team since opening in 2004.

SG OWNER WINS NATIONAL
CREATING KEEPSAKES CONTEST
December 9, 2005

A 40-page scrapbook created by Debbie Sanders, co-owner of Scrapbook Generation in Springfield, was the first place winner of a national contest sponsored by Primedia, publisher of "Creating Keepsakes" and "Simple Scrapbooks" magazines.

The Retailer's Scrapbook to Cherish contest was inspired by "Simple Scrapbooks" idea book Scrapbooks to Cherish, featuring award-winning scrapbooks telling meaningful stories.

Following the book's release, Primedia challenged retailers to document the adventure story of opening their own scrapbook store. Sanders' entry used the theme of self-discovery, and chronicled Scrapbook Generation's story from the planning stages in 2004 through the end of its first year of operation in 2005. Chapters include Complacency, Catastrophe, Cooperation, Celebration, Commitment and Clarity.

Sanders' scrapbook was featured in Primedia's retail publications. The award-winning scrapbook is now on display at Scrapbook Generation.

SG TEACHER WINS NATIONAL CREATING KEEPSAKES CONVENTION CONTEST
July 11, 2005

A two-page scrapbook layout created by Allison Davis, teacher at Scrapbook Generation in Springfield, was the first place winner of a national contest sponsored by "Creating Keepsakes" magazine.

"Creating Keepsakes" sponsored a national scrapbooking convention in Kansas City, and offered a layout contest as part of the activities.

Davis entered the home town category, and designed a page comparing and contrasting her growing up years in Mansfield and her current life in Springfield through both photographs and journaling.

The award-winning scrapbook layout is now on display at Scrapbook Generation.
