Registration deadline is less than a week away! Crafters in the vicinity of the Springfield, MO store are invited to "try before you buy!" Don't forget to email karin@scrapbookgeneration.com by Sept. 3 if you will be attending so that we know how many to prepare materials for. Here are the full details of the fun and free event:

On Saturday, Sept. 10, SG will be hosting CSI University, our signature event. Best described as a play day for crafty adults, CSI lets you personally investigate over 50 brands of markers, pens, colored pencils, crayons, gel pens, inks, paints, and mediums. If you live in the area, we hope you can join us. Last year, we had not just people from Missouri, but also from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Illinois who joined us for the fun.

For CSI, we turn the store lobby and classroom into stations where you see demos by local and out-of-state crafters, and then have the chance to play with each product yourself. When you arrive, you'll receive a CSI folder to store the sample swatches you'll create of the various products.

Each station also has printed materials, including basic information about each product, helpful tips, and links to YouTube instructional videos you can watch later if you would like to explore more.

CSI University is free, and is for adults only. The event begins at 10 am and continues through 5 pm. You can arrive any time during the day, but we suggest no later than 3:30 to ensure that you have adequate time to visit all stations. (Allow an hour and a half to two hours for your investigations.)

CSI grads who spend $25 that day get a gift from SG. Choose from a KaiserColour gel pen or a Copic Kirarina dual-tipped marker.

So that we know how many folders and printed materials to prepare, we ask that you register by September 3 by emailing karin@scrapbookgeneration.com.

THOUGHTS ON LAST YEAR: It was a fantastic day! By far, it was the most well-received event we've ever hosted. People were so appreciative of being able to "try before you buy." With so many new products available, they loved being able to compare the different brands.
